Space Reflection- A real life scale of the solar system

This video was about our solar system on a scale that is more accurate than the ones on the internet. The solar system is a lot different by size than what we can see from earth. When you make a model of the planets you need to have at least 7 miles ( approximately 11 km) of land. All of the planets shown in the video take a different amount of time to orbit around the sun. I now understand that there is more of a difference of space between the planets than it shows in the not accurate models. Why did they make the models on the internet not accurate? Does our earth really look like a tiny marble in all of our solar system?

100wc- My year

Overall my year was amazing. Not only were the things that I learnt but also the new friendships and discoveries I made. This year I was in year five, and so many different things made me learn about different experiences like camp where I met someone new and now I’m really close friends with them and the classroom when I got to learn everything I needed to know. this year was definitely a roller coaster ride (thanks teach for that bit of figurative language) but it definitely had more ups than downs. So now I am just excited to say… ” YES! IT’S THE END OF THE YEAR!” And I can’t wait for next.

Lesson on Coding- Synopsis and Reflection on the lesson

Synopsis:

This lesson was about how you learnt to code and program an online robot from a game. Coding is a set of instructions for a machine/robot to make them turn and move different ways. At the start we watched a video about all of the famous people who coded and programmed technology. We learnt what actions we needed to do to make the robot move in specific directions and in different ways ( anticlockwise, clockwise).

Reflection:

I would like to learn more about programming robots in harder and more complex ways, so they can move around more easily and more swift. So if I learn about that then next time I work with robots I can have a better and stronger understanding about how they work. This will help me to understand more about coding and know how to use it properly. Coding excites me because I now know that coding might be a big part about our future and that coding is used in almost every type of technology. It also excites me that you get to program and set robots to move in specific ways and directions. I think we can improve coding at MPPS  by making the people who know more about coding do more harder and complex things and for people who need more help with it to do something simpler because sometimes its to easy for some people or too hard.
